Do you need a TV licence?

By LYoung 06 Feb 2018

Did you know you need a TV Licence to:

  • watch or record live TV programmes on any channel
  • download or watch any BBC programmes on iPlayer – live, catch up or on demand.

This applies to any provider you use and any device, including a TV, desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, games console, digital box or DVD/VHS recorder.

If you don’t need a licence you can let TV Licensing know online.

TV Licensing enforcement vans have been spotted recently in this area so don’t get caught out!

Remember: you do not need to let TV licence enforcement officers in to your University accommodation.
