Events at UofG Accommodation

By CGordon 13 Jun 2018

During the 2017-2018 session, our Living Support Teams put on loads of events for our residents.

What kind of events?

We introduced weekly movie nights at our four largest sites, and regular events to suit all tastes across all of our residences.

To name a few we had FIFA tournaments, board game nights, screenings of the Oscars and Eurovision, dance lessons, guided meditation and yoga, scavenger hunts, quiz nights, sewing and craft events, table tennis tournaments, first aid courses, Tekken tournaments, a fun run, a vegan food night, a foody pot luck, and more.

We also left out treats and had competitions for lots of holidays throughout the year.

Who hosts these events?

One of the benefits of living in university accommodation is that you have the Living Support Teams. They are made up of students, in their second year or later, who live at each residence and provide support to you during your stay. They have experienced being a first year and living at university halls, and have a wealth of training so that they can help you if you ever need it.

They also work together to host events so that you have the best halls experience and plenty of opportunities to meet your neighbours.

Here are just a few snaps of events at our residences this year...
