Get Involved with Glasgow Student Events
This year has been much different in terms of meeting other students, finding things to do, and interacting with the various student bodies and societies.
Here are some great places to find out about events for all students - from first years to postgrads and everyone in-between.
SRC Events
The SRC have a great website called Native where you can see lots of online events happening across the university, most of which are completely free.
From pub quizzes to panel discussions; volunteering opportunities to award ceremonies; society events to student elections - this is your one-stop shop for all events run by GUSRC and their many services and affiliated clubs, societies and student media groups.
Whether you're on campus and looking for ways to get involved, or just wanting to dip in to some online activities: we have something for all students - from first years to postgrads and everyone in-between.
Coming up in February:
RAG WEEK
Come get involved with RAG Week! Taking place for a full 5 days of activity beginning on the 8th February, head over to the SRC Native platform to sign up to a range of fundraising events, all raising money for 4 amazing charities, including Scottish Association for Mental Health. From bingo to speed mating to art auctions to coffee morning, come along in aid of some fantastic causes. Head to glasgowstudent.native.fm to sign up now!
GU VOLUNTEERING & SOCIAL JUSTICE FESTIVAL
We are very excited to be bringing you the GU Volunteering and Social Justice Festival next week! Over 3 days (Wednesday 3rd - Friday 5th February), this virtual festival will give you the chance to listen to and interact with some of GU Volunteering's fantastic charity partners, each of whom have different and varied volunteering opportunities available.
The event will consist of a mix of recorded video content and Zoom presentations / Q&As. To receive updates on when these events go live, please register for reminders by signing up for the 'Register for Updates' event on the Festival Native site.
UofG Virtual Household
If you're on Facebook and looking to make new friends or find out about online activities, then the UofG Virtual Household is a great online community to be part of. World changing UofG students from across the globe can come together to get to know each other in this Facebook Group, alongside the Student Ambassadors, UofGLiving, the SRC, International Student Support and more.
UofGLiving Events
This year we have opened up our UofGLiving events to all UofG students, not just those living within our halls of residence. We run weekly online events to suit all tastes and interests, which you can find here on UofGLiving, on Facebook and on Instagram.
