My family involved me heavily in team sports from a young age, which I excelled in, however I always preferred the idea of pursuing an independent sport. I have now represented Ireland at both international and national levels and competed against individuals who I once considered my ‘idols’.
I train regularly in the Stevenson building in the fitness studios. During the winter these facilities have been a blessing, as the harsh Glasgow weather makes it difficult to train outdoors. I supplement my freestyle training with strength and conditioning work that I also perform here. The equipment and atmosphere are pretty much ideal for getting a good workout in.
