What's on in Kelvinhaugh Residence

Welcome to all our new students at Kelvinhaugh Residences, we hope you have settled in your new home!

Fire drills @ KHR

Please note that fire drills will be held week commencing Monday 14th January 2019 at Kelvinhaugh Residences. Please read the Fire Evacuation Notices in your flat and make yourself familiar with your Assembly Point. Any queries please call at reception.

Absences Overnight

Please remember to complete the absence form if you intend to be away overnight - forms are available at reception or with Security and form part of our Fire Roll Call procedures.

Please be aware that immediately after the drill, appropriate staff members will be entering flats to cross-check names of those not confirmed at Roll Call.

Overnight Guests

If you plan to have anyone staying in your flat overnight then remember...

  • To obtain consent from fellow residents of your flat/Kitchen
  • Guests can stay up to a max of 3 nights in any 7 day period. It is one guest per flat per night.

  • Please let us know a minimum 24 hours in advance if you want someone to stay over.  All you need to do is to fill in a Request for Overnight Guest form, which is available from Reception.

  • Guests must sleep in your room and not the communal areas.

  • Guests who are staying over at KHR are expected to abide by Kelvinhaugh Residences rules and regulations. You, as host, are also responsible for the behaviour of your guests.

Parcels/Letters

Please note that any letters or packages for Kelvinhaugh Street and Kelvinhaugh Gate are not accepted at the reception desk. All mail will be delivered directly to your flat.

Please remember to give your Full Postal Address,  you can check your room envelope for the correct address.

Unfortunately, if we receive any post for residents staying at Kelvinhaugh Street or Gate we will be returned to sender.

Student Services

Student Services can assist you if you have any enquiries about your Accommodation Fees/Rent, Direct Debits, Police/Bank Letter or your MyCampus Account.
