As the Christmas period has now ended, please ensure that all window snow and any other festive decorations are removed from bedrooms and kitchens.
Been away for the vacation? Please practice Good Water Hygiene!
If you return to your accommodation after a period of time away [i.e. more than a week] it is good practice to run the taps in your property for 2 or 3 minutes to ensure you receive a fresh supply of water. Check out our FAQ Booklet for more info.
We do not sign for any parcels on behalf of students. If you are not here to accept and sign for your parcel, we will advise the courier to take the parcel back to their depot. Students should provide their flat address as a postal address and not the Central Services Building. Deliveries of parcels are the student’s responsibility and therefore should make arrangements to be present when the parcel arrives to avoid disappointment.
Living Support Assistants
The Living Support Assistants are at Reception every evening between 6-7 pm. Please contact them for help or advice on any matter be it academic, problems in your flat etc. They are there to help you!
Security contact out of hours
In the event of an emergency Security can be contacted by dialing 8000 from the telephone in your room, from a mobile contact 0141 339 3273 (office number). All calls between 10 pm and 8 am are answered by Security who can contact the Duty Senior Living Support Assistant should this be required. The Security officer is based in the security room to the right of the front door to the Central Services building, during his shifts he has to make several security checks around the site and at this time you can still contact him by telephoning the above numbers.
