QMR Weekly Update (12 January)

By SMowat 07 Jan 2019

Happy New Year Everyone!

Cold Weather

Please be careful when you’re out in this cold weather, wrap up warm and be wary of icy roads and pavements.  There are salt/grit bins at various locations on site for your use.  In CSB we will display the weather forecast on a daily basis or you can ask at reception and we can advise you of the forecast.

Mail

Please be advised that whenever you are giving out your address to have your mail delivered, you must make sure you give all your address information including Block, Flat and Room.  Unfortunately, we don’t have the facility in the office to hold onto mail for you so please make sure you always give out your full address.

Access to Rooms

Please note that the University (or persons acting with the authority of the University) will normally give at least 24 hours prior notice of its intention to carry out inspections or works. This does not include cases of emergency situations where no such notice will be required.

Reporting Repairs Out-Of-Hours

If you have any repairs you wish to report once the office has closed at 6pm, you can call Ext: 8000 from your bedroom phone and it will connect you to one of the on-duty LSAs. You can also call the office number on 0141 339 3273 and you will be connected to them or email qmr@sanctuary-students.com for any non-urgent repairs.

Bikes at Winton Drive

There are still bikes chained to the fence outside Winton drive flats. These need to be put in the bike sheds ASAP.

Kitchen Fire Doors

Please note that the Fire Doors in the kitchen must be kept closed at all times except when exiting and entering the kitchen.  These doors must NOT be propped open under any circumstances.  We will be closely monitoring compliance on this issue.

Recycling

Please remember to keep up-to-date with your recycling.  Please deposit it in the recycling bins regularly and don’t let it build up in the flat as this can become a health hazard.
