QMR Weekly Update (23 November)
Leaving QMR for the holidays
If you are planning on being away from your flat over the festive season – please come to reception and fill out a temporary absence form – thank you.
What’s on in Glasgow at Christmas
Looking for stuff to do over the festive period in Glasgow? You could visit the Christmas Markets in St Enoch Square and George Square – they opened on 9th November. Or why not have a fun day out at the Carnival, this starts on 20th December and goes on until 13th January, with lots of scary rides and oversized cuddly toys to win. (Maybe you could win us a new mascot for QMR since Bertie is still missing). Or for those who like to tone it down a bit could munch on some scrummy popcorn and watch the famous Christmas Time movie ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ at the GFT theatre in town which is showing from 7th to 24th December.
Advent Calendar Donation for Charity
We are still collecting Advent Calendars and Selection Boxes for the children of the mothers currently under the care of Women’s Aid (Women’s Aid is one of a group of charities across the United Kingdom. There are four main Women's Aid Federations, one for each of the countries of the United Kingdom. Its aim is to end domestic violence against women and children). Please donate a calendar or £1 and we will buy a calendar and pass it on to the organisation.
